What is Whole Wellness Center all about?

WELCOME to Whole Wellness Center!

This first blog will be short and sweet. I will be introducing myself and the mission behind Whole Wellness! My name is Aly, I hold a Bachelors of Science in Sociology with a minor in Criminology and I am currently studying for my Masters of Science in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and Trauma. I am the founder and Head Wellness Coach at Whole Wellness Center. When I am not coaching, I enjoy reading, playing with my pup, and exploring the outdoors with my boyfriend. Whole Wellness Center is just starting out and I am so excited to see it blossom. This idea all started back in the summer of July of 2021 when I went through a bout of depression and anxiety myself. I felt extremely isolated from the world (as most of us did following a global pandemic) and that experience gave me no choice but to face my scars and embark on a journey of deep healing. As I spent my days running back and forth between therapy, acupuncture, personal training, and physical therapy, I grew exhausted. I started to realize that while there were specialists for everything I needed help with, there wasn’t anywhere I could get everything I needed all at one place. And voila! Then came the idea of Whole Wellness! Whole Wellness prides itself on healing the whole individual and not just a sliver of them. Mental health, physical health, and most importantly, spiritual health are all key components that make up a healthy human. In the past, I practiced psychic mediumship, tarot card readings, and a whole heaping of astrology. Unfortunately, the new age spirituality movement led me nowhere except deeper into my depression and closer to my anxiety. While on my journey to healing, I found myself in the midst of Jesus Christ, and at that moment I knew I needed to turn things around and drop all of the new age practices that were drawing me further and further away from the True spirituality I was seeking. Formerly, I had a spiritual counseling business, but another thing I realized was that a lot of spiritual counseling and spiritual healing centers are geared toward new age practices and I wanted to make a change in that. I want to offer Christians a place to come for healing, one which they don’t feel is completely against their Biblical standing. Now, that is not to say that you are unwelcome if you are not Christian, all are welcome here! However, I did want to create a space where healing and spiritual Truth existed hand in hand. Currently, the services offered will be group wellness coaching as well as individual wellness coaching, but keep your eye out for more services as we work on expanding! As Whole Wellness expands, we will offer a plethora of services that walk you straight down the road to wholeness! My goal with Whole Wellness Center is to introduce people to a better quality of life by introducing them to the Gospel, sharing fitness and nutrition hacks, and offering evidence-based tools for mental wellness. I am extremely excited to see this vision come to life and I am grateful to God for putting me on this path, and allowing me to guide others along the way. Although it has not been easy, I am excited to use my voice to help promote wellness in the lives of others! If you have any questions about the business or would like to schedule a one-on-one wellness coaching session, please feel free to reach out at aly.wholewellnesscenter@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you all and getting to know each and every one of you.

Enjoy the road to wellness,

Aly
